We just returned home from our annual Destin vacation. The whole family went this year and we had lots of fun. The kids swam everyday in the pool all day and built several sand castles, Chad and Keith included! They built a huge sand castle one day and people stopped to look at it. The next day, it was a pile of sand and Jacob used it as a slide and rolled all in it, YUK! Joseph and Megan rode a jet ski with Keith and turned over. Megan was crying and saying they almost died, Joseph was yelling "it was so cool, we turned over".
We saw two manatee swimming across the shore line one day. We had never seen them before there. The life guard said the water temperature and weather had to be just right for them to come in that close. They were very big. At first I thought they were sharks, but they were to big and slow. The lifeguards made everyone get out because they are endangered and it is a federal offense to touch one.
We made our annual picture. This year, we added some sun glasses.
We ate at some of our favorite places. On American Idol night, we had a party and ordered pizza and made chocolate chip cookies. Jordano's in destin has the world's best pizza if you ever go there, get it!! David Cook, our favorite idol, won so we were all happy!!! We miss the palm trees already and want to go back!
